Cloth Diapers are composed of layers of fabric such as terry toweling and can be washed and reused several times. Whereas Disposable Diapers contain absorbent chemicals and are thrown away after use. So to choose which diaper is best suited totally depends upon parents as well as baby’s need, convenience, comfort and also parent’s today’s family budget. Decision of choosing cloth or disposable diapers is totally upon parents. Some parents also use combination of both cloth and disposable diapers.
Advantages:
Disposable diapers are very convenient and easy to use especially while traveling. Don’t have to worry about cleaning or laundry as its use and throw. It also provides better prevention from leakage.
Disadvantages:
Disposable brands are for use and throw and hence are costly. Even the cheapest disposable brands of diapers are expensive. Its not good for environment and increases pollution and the chemicals or the non woven fabric used are not decomposable. Some parents think that baby having habit of disposable diapers are harder to train for potty sitting.
Some of the well known disposable diaper brands are Huggies, Pampers, Luvs etc. Parents should choose disposable diapers according to their baby’s weight and their needs. Before buying disposable diapers in bulk they should try samples to suit baby’s need.

Choosing cloth or disposable diapers is ongoing debate and totally depends on parents need, comfort and cost. There are pros and cons of both cloth and disposable diapers, but the last choice to choose them are only parents.
Cloth diapers are 100% cotton fabrics. They are back again and preferred by parents.
Advantages:
Cloth diapers are far more less expensive than disposable diapers. Even considering laundry, detergents for washing, they are less expensive. They can be reused several times and also for your next baby. Many parents have belief that potty training is easier for child who wears cloth diaper. Diaper rashes are less frequent as they are made of 100% cotton fabrics and are good absorbent. Cloth diapers are good for environment as fabrics are easily decomposable.
Disadvantages:
Are very uncomfortable and tiring to change while traveling. Daycares will not prefer using cloth diapers. Needs good caring laundry wash.
Earlier cloth diapers use pins for fastening but now a days they have changed a lot. Now they use Velcro rather than diaper pin for fixing. Types of Cloth Diaper: Flat, Prefold, Fitted, All in One Diapers.
Cloth diapers should be washed with warm water or in washing machine according to the manufacturer care label. Use regular laundry detergent. But should not bleach or fabric softener. Cloth diapers should be washed very neatly and should be dried in sun of machine dryer.
